Psalms 27

      Here is Psalms 27. I am currently trying to memorize the whole chapter! Lord-willing I will!

Psalm 27

 ¹The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

 ²When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

 ³Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

 ⁴One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.

 ⁵For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

 ⁶And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.

 ⁷Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.

 ⁸When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.

 ⁹Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

 ¹⁰When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.

 ¹¹Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.

 ¹²Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.

 ¹³I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

 ¹⁴Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

    I love this psalm! It shows what faith David had in his Lord. We need to have the same faith! 

A New Creature

    1 Corinthians 5:17 says : " Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

  Humans are horrible, filthy sinners. We can only be made clean through Christ. He can cleanse all unrighteousness from us. 1 John 1:9 : " If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." He will only do this if we ask Him! He wouldn't cleanse us of our sins, if we didn't repent , and ask Him to.

   Being cleansed isn't the last step. You have to live the way Jesus would. Live life the way He would have us to. Quit your nasty habits, and sins.  Be a witness to the world!


  Ask Jesus to cleanse you , and to present you as as witness to the world!

                          

 

Though none go with me..............................

            

             Last night , I watched a movie entitled: " Though none go with me" . In the movie, the main character, Elizabeth, went through so many losses. She lost so many people close to her.  She made a commitment to the Lord, that she would follow Him no matter what.

             We need to make that same commitment to Him. We need to choose to follow Him, no matter what. Even  if we are the only ones who choose to follow Him. Though none go with me, still i will follow! No turning back!

              Do you choose to commit your life to Jesus? to follow Him no matter what? Make a commitment to Him today!

    

      

Sarah's $300 million dollar Texas sheet cake

  
   Here's another one of my favorite recipes! I also make this one vegan ( no animal products) , but you can make it your way! Enjoy



               Sarah’s $300 million dollar Texas sheet cake
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 stick butter
1 cup oil
1 cup water
4 T cocoa or carob powder
½ cup sour cream
2 eggs
1 tsp.vanilla
 
     Preheat oven 350. Mix in large bowl sugar & flour. IN saucepan, boil 1 min. water, butter, oil and cocoa. Pour hot water over flour and sugar mixture. Stir well, add sour cream , eggs, and vanilla. Pour in greased and floured 9 by 13 by 2 inch pan. Bake 40 minutes.

        Today, I'm doing something unusual. I'm posting one of my favorite recipes! I hope you enjoy! I make these cookies vegan ( no animal products), but you can make them anyway you want! Just substitute what you want to!  Enjoy!

Preacher Cookies  

1  cup evaporated cane juice (or 1 cup honey)

½ cup soy milk

½ cup vegan non-hydrogenated butter

½ cup natural peanut butter

½ cup carob chips

1tsp. Vanilla 

½ cup unsweetened coconut

3 cups old fashioned oats

 

Combine evaporated cane juice, soy milk,  butter, and natural peanut butter. Cook and bring to a boil. Stir constantly for one minute (or longer). Take off burner. Add carob, vanilla, and oats. Mix well. Spoon onto waxed paper or tin foil and let set until cool.

Whiter than Snow

   Here where I live, We're about to get snow, so I decided to write a blog on "Whiter than Snow."  God Bless!

   Psalm's 51:7 says: "Purge me with hyssop , and I shall be clean: wash me , and I shall be whiter than snow!"

   We are sinners. We are dirty , filthy, horrible sinners. How can we be whiter  than snow? Jesus can give us His white, clean, robe of righteousness, so we can be whiter than snow! But , we have to ask for it ! He died on the cross for us. He shed His blood so we might have eternal life! Praise the Lord! He loved the human race soooooooo much that He wanted to die so we could be saved , and live in Heaven with Him! 

    Lord,  I want to be whiter than snow! I want to be clean! Please give me your robe of righteousness, and make me clean! I love you , Lord!    

Dreams and Wishes

  

      We all have those unfulfilled dreams that we're not sure will ever come true. Does God want us to have our dreams fulfilled? If they are according to His will. He wants to make us happy, but he doesn't want to give us something that will take away from our love for Him. He wants to be number 1 in our lives, not to be number 2 to something else we have.  

      Psalms 37:3-5 says : " Trust in the Lord ,and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land , and verily thou shalt be fed . Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord, trust also in Him ; and He shall bring it to pass." 

   Commit your dreams to the Lord. Ask Him to fulfill your dreams according to His will, not your own. He always knows best!
