SABBATH

Hi, Everyone! I hope you all are having a good week so far! Did you all have a good Easter? I did! Jesus is risen! Hallelujah!!!!

Now, to today's post! Today I am going to talk about the Sabbath. We are going to look at some different Bible verses, and figure out which day is the true Sabbath! So, Let's get started!

  Let's start with Exodus 20: 8-11

8Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Which day does this scripture passage tell us is the Sabbath? The 7th day of the week.  Saturday.

When Jesus died on the cross, He died on Friday, and was buried that day. He rose on Sunday, the first day of the week. ( John 20.) So, He rested on Saturday, which is the seventh day! Jesus kept the true Sabbath, even in His death!

But, why do most Christians go to church on Sunday? Some people believe that the Sabbath was changed from Saturday to Sunday. But , the Bible tells us that God's Word is true, it is unchangeable! God would not declare one day to be His Sabbath, and then change it!

Look at Hebrews 4: 8. " For if Jesus ad given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day."

I want to keep Jesus' true Sabbath! What about you?

Homeschooling!

    Hi, Everyone!

Sorry, it's been a whole 10 days until I last posted! I really haven't been on the computer all that much, so that's why there hasn't been a post in a while!

Well, anyways , Today's post is about Homeschooling! I was home schooled  all of my high school years, and I really enjoyed being at home , and being flexible. It seems that more people are considering homeschooling nowadays. Homeschooling was never as widespread as it is now! I think it is a wonderful way to be able to instill Christian values in the lives of children. In public schools, they don't get the individualized attention as they do at home.  I would definitely recommend homeschooling to anyone! People will try to tell you  that home schoolers aren't as smart as public schoolers, but it just isn't true!

Jesus' mother taught Him at home. She taught Him the scriptures. And you know He was loyal to HIS Heavenly FATHER!!!!!  Homeschooling is definitely biblical!

Lean on HIM

What can we do by ourselves, without God ?  NOTHING! We cannot  even wake up in the morning without God! We depend on Him for every breathe, every move we make! He is our GOD and creator! All things are impossible without GOD!

God is able to keep us from falling in sin, but He won't do it unless we ask HIM! It is our choice to make. We have to decide what road we will follow , ETERNAL LIFE, or DEATH.

      Jude 1:24

" Now unto Him who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy! "

Hallelujah! He will finish the work in me! He is able to present me faultless in the judgement! But, not because anything I have done, but because HE died to save me!

Share the wonderful story of  God's grace and love!!!!!!!1

Put HIM first!

Is God first in my life?  It's a question I ask my self often. Too many other things try to creep into your top priority spot. The world has the idea  that jobs, money , possessions, etc. need to be top priority, but as a christian, I know this is not right. God needs to be my top priority. My  relationship with Him needs to be my main focus.

What can we do to make God first?  Try abstaining from tv, internet, ipod, etc. for a week. Read your Bible more, read inspirational books, pray, get outside, exercise! The possibilities are endless. There are so many better things to do than watch tv and surf the internet. So, if for the next week , there are no new blog posts on my blog, just remember that I'm try to grow closer to God , and my family!

Have a wonderful day in JESUS!!!!!!!
