Proverb of the day - Proverbs 31

Proverbs 31:10-31

King James Version (KJV)

10Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
11The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
12She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
13She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
14She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
15She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
16She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
17She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
18She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
19She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
20She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
21She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
22She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
23Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
24She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
25Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
26She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
27She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
28Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
29Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
30Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
31Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

A PEEK INTO MY PRAYER JOURNAL

Hi, friends! I'm back! I just needed some time to get my thoughts together, and to focus on what's truly important.

I have been asking myself a certain question lately : What's number 1 in my life? Is it God? . If i were to honestly and truly answer this question, the answer would be NO, and i don't like that. I love my Lord so much, and He deserves to be # 1 in my life.

So, here's a peek into my Prayer Journal:

Proverbs 20- Proverb of the day

Proverbs 20

King James Version (KJV)

1Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.
2The fear of a king is as the roaring of a lion: whoso provoketh him to anger sinneth against his own soul.
3It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.
4The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.
5Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.
6Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?
7The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.
8A king that sitteth in the throne of judgment scattereth away all evil with his eyes.
9Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?
10Divers weights, and divers measures, both of them are alike abomination to the LORD.
11Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.
12The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them.
13Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.
14It is naught, it is naught, saith the buyer: but when he is gone his way, then he boasteth.
15There is gold, and a multitude of rubies: but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.
16Take his garment that is surety for a stranger: and take a pledge of him for a strange woman.
17Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.
18Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war.
19He that goeth about as a talebearer revealeth secrets: therefore meddle not with him that flattereth with his lips.
20Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness.
21An inheritance may be gotten hastily at the beginning; but the end thereof shall not be blessed.
22Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.
23Divers weights are an abomination unto the LORD; and a false balance is not good.
24Man's goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way?
25It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy, and after vows to make enquiry.
26A wise king scattereth the wicked, and bringeth the wheel over them.
27The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.
28Mercy and truth preserve the king: and his throne is upholden by mercy.
29The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the grey head.
30The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil: so do stripes the inward parts of the belly.

Please  pray for me! I want to do bigger, better things with my blog as a witness to my LORD and SAVIOUR! Pray that I will lay aside all things that are of no eternal significance. Those things aren't important!

God on the Mountain

God on the Mountain
~no author listed
Life is easy
when your up on the mountain
And you’ve got peace of mind
like you’ve never known
But then things change and you’re down in the valley
Don’t lose faith for you’re never alone
For the God of the mountain is still God in the valley
When things go wrong, He’ll make them right
And the God of the good time is still God in the bad times
The God of the day is still God in the night
You talk of faith when you’re up on the mountain
But the talk comes easy when life’s at it’s best
But it is down in the valley of trials and temptation
That’s when faith is really put to the test

For the God of the mountain is still God in the valley
When things go wrong, He’ll make them right
And the God of the good time is still God in the bad times
The God of the day is still God in the night

The God of the day is still God in the night

I will do my BEST!

Are you ever tempted to do just enough? To do just what you can to get by? I have. I do things in all areas of my life just to get them done. I don't do my best and I know that with all of my heart! So,  friends, I am asking you to join me in a challenge! It won't be easy, It won't always be fun. But, I am convinced that it's the right thing to do.

Read Colossians 3:23

" And whatsoever you do, do it heartily , as to the Lord, and not unto men."

What if we made a commitment to do everything we do as if the Lord is watching? ( Because, He IS!) To do everything unto Him! Wouldn't you do your very best in EVERYTHING? Wouldn't you to your best to please Him?

So, from now on, let's do everything we do " as unto the LORD, and not unto men"!

Trials ARE Necessary

I've been thinking alot about trials lately, and I've come to a conclusion : They ARE necessary. They are necessary to refine us, to mold us to the people God wants us to be. All around me , in the "blog world", people are having trials. I'd like you to pray for one couple in particular , Matt & Kara. Their much anticipated adoption of a little baby boy failed. The mother decided not to give the baby up for adoption. Please pray for them. Check out there blog HERE , and leave them some encouragement and love. Thanks!

Here's a little video of the very talented Erin Bates playing piano!

Just a sinner

I am a sinner. I am a poor, wretched , miserable sinner. I am in need of a Savior. I cannot of myself do anything! I cannot even breathe except by the grace of God. So, I am asking for prayer! I long to have a deeper, more meaningful relationship with my Lord. I love Him so much, and I want it to be clearly visible in my life. I want strangers to look at me and say to themselves, " She has something better. She loves the Lord."

Also, I have a test tomorrow! Please pray that I will be able to remember what I have learned, and I will use every spare minute to study! It is extremely hard for me to commit enough time to study! Thanks for your prayers! <3

Proverb of the day

Hi , Everyone! Hope you are all doing well! I'm doing good, but I don't feel too well today! Pray for me! Thanks! :)

Anyway, here is the proverb of the day, Proverbs 21!

Proverbs 21

1The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
2Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.
3To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
4An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.
5The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.
6The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.
7The robbery of the wicked shall destroy them; because they refuse to do judgment.
8The way of man is froward and strange: but as for the pure, his work is right.
9It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.
10The soul of the wicked desireth evil: his neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes.
11When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge.
12The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.
13Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.
14A gift in secret pacifieth anger: and a reward in the bosom strong wrath.
15It is joy to the just to do judgment: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
16The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.
17He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.
18The wicked shall be a ransom for the righteous, and the transgressor for the upright.
19It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.
20There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.
21He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.
22A wise man scaleth the city of the mighty, and casteth down the strength of the confidence thereof.
23Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.
24Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.
25The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.
26He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.
27The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?
28A false witness shall perish: but the man that heareth speaketh constantly.
29A wicked man hardeneth his face: but as for the upright, he directeth his way.
30There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.
31The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.

My favorite verse(s) in the BIBLE!

I ran across this verse one day because it was in a book i was reading. I love it! It speaks to me, escpecially lately, because My lifelong desire of my heart has been fulfilled ! Guess what? I got a HORSE!!!!!!!!!!!! I have wanted one for like forever! I can't believe! I am on cloud 9 right now, it seems! I promise I will post pics of her soon! ( her name is Ginger, to give u a little hint of what she looks like) So, here it is , my favorite verse(s)!

Psalms 37: 3-8

3  Trust in the LORD, and do good;

so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
4  Delight thyself also in the LORD;

and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5  Commit thy way unto the LORD;

trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
6  And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light,

and thy judgment as the noonday.
7  Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him:

fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way,
because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
8  Cease from anger, and forsake wrath:

fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

Ahhhhh! Thank you Lord for fulfilling your promise to me! I love YOU soooo much!

Back to School

Hello, Readers! How are you all? Hope you are having a great Monday!  I am heading back to school today! But not high school....................COLLEGE!!!!!!!!!!!! Please pray for me as I embark on a new life experience. I trust that my heavenly Father will help me make it through this semester! :)

So, I got to go and get ready, but here's a Psalm to leave you with and a beautiful little picture too! :)

The Psalms
34

Praise for Deliverance from Troubles

1 I will bless the LORD at all times:

his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul shall make her boast in the LORD:

the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
3 O magnify the LORD with me,

and let us exalt his name together.
4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me,

and delivered me from all my fears.
5 They looked unto him, and were lightened:

and their faces were not ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him,

and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him,

and delivereth them.
8 O taste and see that the LORD is good:

blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints:

for there is no want to them that fear him.
10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger:

but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.
11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me:

I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
12 What man is he that desireth life,

and loveth many days, that he may see good?
13 Keep thy tongue from evil,

and thy lips from speaking guile.
14 Depart from evil, and do good;

seek peace, and pursue it.
15 The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous,

and his ears are open unto their cry.
16 The face of the LORD is against them that do evil,

to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
17 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth,

and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart;

and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous:

but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
20 He keepeth all his bones:

not one of them is broken.
21 Evil shall slay the wicked:

and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.
22 The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants:

and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

Happy Sabbath! / What day is the Sabbath?

Hi , everyone! I hope all of you have had a wonderful week! Today, Saturday, is the day appointed by God to be our day of rest. We are to spend the 7th day of the week to in worship and praise of our creator, GOD!

Exodus 20:11 says : " For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea,  and all that is in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it."

It is important to keep the true Sabbath because..... Exodus 31:13 says : " Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you."

Sunday, the first day is also mentioned in the Bible . Matthew 28:1 says : " In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn towards the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene , and the other Mary to see the sepulchre ."   The dictionary definition of Sunday is as follows:  " the first day of the week, observed as the sabbath by most Christian sects." ( taken from Dictionary).

Jesus even kept the Sabbath in His death. He died on Friday, rested on Saturday, and rose on Sunday.

If the day was changed , wouldn't Jesus tell us in the BIBLE? Hebrews 4:8 says : " For if Jesus had given them rest, then would He not afterward have spoken of another day?" If Jesus told us in the Bible that the Sabbath is the seventh day, Saturday, if it was changed , wouldn't He tell us? He wouldn't want us to be deceived.

Don't take my word for it, study it out! Study the Bible for yourself and let the Holy Spirit guide you!

               Happy Sabbath, friends!

I am BEAUTIFUL

Hello! Good Morning! Sorry about the long space between blog posts! I have been comtemplating this very post for a while, but today's the day! I have done a post similar HERE, but I feel it's time to do it again!

What does it mean to be beautiful? Your looks? Your heart ? Or both? The world looks at the outside, the LORD looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7 says : "........for man looketh on the outward appearance , but the Lord looketh on the heart."

Psalms 139: 13 says : " I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well."  Do you KNOW that you are BEAUTIFUL? God made YOU and me , and if He created us , we can be assured that we are BEAUTIFUL!

But do you know what came make us even more beautiful? Glorifying God with our heart and our bodies. Having a pure heart is what really should matter most to us!

I hope you all have a wonderful day , and remember: YOU are BEAUTIFUL because JESUS made YOU!

Brotherly Love

Hi there! Hope you all have a had a great week! All this week I have been thinking about JOY , Jesus first, Others second, You last. It really is a very important concept. So, that's where I got the idea for this post. here it goes!
The title of this post is " Brotherly Love" . What does it mean to truly love your brother? Let's look at Roman's 12:10 " Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another." Preferring one another .......... That means putting others first! Like in the JOY acronym! We are not to                         be selfish , always putting ourselves first. We are called to be unselfish, "preferring" one another! We are to put JESUS first ultimately, then others. Brotherly Love also means giving of yourself, always looking to help others. Let's love our "brothers" today and always!
These girls love their brother! ( Petey, second from left)

1 Peter 2

1 Peter 2

1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
2As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
3If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
4To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
5Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
7Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
8And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
 9But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
10Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
 11Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
 13Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
14Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
15For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
16As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
17Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
18Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.
19For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
20For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
21For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
22Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
23Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
24Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
25For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
