Mary or Martha ?

Mary and Martha were too completely different people. Martha was always busy and concerned about her house chores, but Mary took time to nurture her spiritual life and focus on the most important thing, JESUS!

Luke 10:38-42 :

38 Now it came to pass, as they went , that he entered into a certain village , and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.

39   And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet , and heard his word.

40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

41  And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:

42 But one thing is  needful : and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

If we are not careful , we too can be like Martha. We can get so caught up in the cares of this world that we fail to focus on our relationship with JESUS! The things of this world will pass away , but our relationship with JESUS will last forever!!! Let's be like Mary today and always!!

  2. Yeah, most of the time (especially since I started blogging, I feel like I'm becoming like Martha). Please Lord, don't let that happen to me. I want Our Lord is my no.1 priority above anything. Nothing else matter except Jesus.

  3. Everything matters, what is important is we should cross the world, experience, live, create, get to know peoples and lands living the Word. We are not here on earth to hide our light under the bed, but to climb up all mountains and show the world how beautiful and full is to live in Jesus. Mary had God as priority but she had a Son, she travelled, she shared part of her daily life with Joseph, she was part of a comunity. :) keep up the good work, pray and...live!
